For the Everyday Ordinary...

"Normal Day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so. One day I shall dig my nails into the earth, or bury my face in the pillow, or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky and want, more than all in the world, for your return." ~ Mary Jean Iron

Spooky Birthday!

My hubs has an October birthday - so we always tie it in with a halloweenie theme. =)  A friend of ours who has just begun a new baking business made him the most adorable cake:
We sang "Happy Birthday" - and we always manage to sound like a bunch of zombies no matter how much I try to whip everyone into excitement beforehand!  It has almost become a family tradition now to sing "Happy Birthday" and make it sound like a funeral dirge!
And, of course, as is fitting a bunch of zombies...:
Still celebrating spooky fun around here!  How about you?

Keep it Joyful,
Donna
