For the Everyday Ordinary...

"Normal Day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so. One day I shall dig my nails into the earth, or bury my face in the pillow, or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky and want, more than all in the world, for your return." ~ Mary Jean Iron

LOAD Day 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 - Whew!

Can you say running to catch up???  But I am - caught up, that is.  For now. =)  I even had some time today to tidy the art room just so I could mess it up again by working on my Project Life and LOAD page for today.  I adore creative chaos!

Day 3 of LOAD 2.12
 Day 4 of LOAD 2.12

 Day 5 of LOAD 2.12

Day 6 of LOAD 2.12

I am having such a wonderful time making these pages - I can't believe I've actually made 6 pages in 6 days - a record for me in my own personal history of scrapbooking.  Even all those years ago when I scrapbooked, it took me days of agonizing over little details to even complete a single page.  I am quite happy right now. =)

Tomorrow is a busy day for me and I'm feeling a bit of nerves.  I am teaching my first mixed media art class.  I know it will probably be so much fun once I get going, but I am feeling all edgy today, even though I'm about as prepared as I am going to get.

My husband came home with some little prezzies for me (he is always bringing me prezzies - I need to get better about bringing him prezzies!)  Two Adele cds and a Bruce Springsteen cd:

When I first met my husband, I had a poster of "Brucy" on my wall - the one of his handsome self in jeans with a baseball cap in his back pocket...hubs has told all the children this.  It is true.

I feel very...full...of life and abundance today!  So many wonderful things are going on in my life.  I love to be alive!  I hope that you do, too!
Enjoy my most fave Bruce song - a guy I used to work with played guitar and the two of us would sing this together.  A long time ago...

PS - I still have the LP album of Asbury Park! =)

Keep it Joyful, Donna

  1. Fantastic pages Donna! I think you're doing fantastically. I don't know if I could dedicate myself to doing a page a day. Whew, lots of work. But your pages look beautiful.

I loveeee Adele. She's so fantastic isn't she? I'm a bit young to have delved into Springsteen though, and my parents never listened to him.

As far as not being able to decide whether to make your blog a scrapbooking blog, or an art blog, I think you should do whatever you want on a specific day! To me, scrapbooking IS art. I don't know if you feel the same.

    Have a lovely day,

  2. Thanks, Jenn! Yes, Adele is wonderful! I giggled when you said you were too young to have "delved into" Brucy. =) Makes me know I dated myself! lol!

And yes, I totally believe that scrapbooking is a form of art - LIFE is art, right?

    Take care!
